Default How do i close the door on my S2K?

Okay so here is the deal...

I got a berlina black s2k and i want to keep it clean.

I bought a duster but it leaves streaks because it takes about 2-3 or more uses before it stops leaving streaks. (something about paraffin) So i have been using it on my wife's 06' Charcoal Accord

I noticed that there are a lot of fingerprints and "oils" on the driver and passenger side door.

My question is where and how is the best way to close the door without leaving marks.

I just want the car to look semi-clean.
The car is a dust magnet and a bird pooped on the center console today.

I parked the car in a 15min parking zone and when i got back there was a Bird POOP the size of a pancake (w/ nuts) splattered across the center console.

If you want to avoid smudge marks from your grimey fingers. You could try using the good old "Im carrying too much A$$ door slam" or maybe just wear gloves? Other than those, I couldnt tell ya

I always just grab the handle to close the door. That always minimizes smudge marks. You've got berlina, so they probably show more than on my GPW.

There was a long thread about this a while back...it had a lot of good ideas...try searching for it or maybe someone here can find it...

Trying posting in the Wash and Wax section...a lot of good people over there...

BTW, i always close the door with the bottom edge of the door handle...

I never understand why people leave their top down in the parking lot! I see it all the time... it's like an invitation for bad things to happen!

that's fine for a short trip, moving the top up and down can wear out the top(and rear plastic for the early ap1 guy) faster.

try closing the door with the palm of your hand.

Carry a handkerchief, use it to close the door and blow your nose, but not at the same time.
