Set vtec crossover at 7500 rpms.

Or don't worry about it.

I would imagine it would depend when you fully spool up..... that would be weird, spool: kick back, Vtec: kick back again, hit fuel cut off get pushed forward.

I prefer N/a because N/A is best.

F22 has a very different tune doesn't it?
No, it's not like that at all.

With the centrifigual blower, the car is making about as much torque at 4,500 RPM as the stock car (AP1/F20C) makes right after VTEC engages, and the boost and torque both continue to build steadily, right up to the point where VTEC engages. At that point, the more aggressive cam profiles go to work and the engine's breating increcases, just as it does with a stock engine, only the "kick" is greater, becaue of the boost. If you look at torque plots with and without centrifigual blower you'll see that the size of the torque increase at the VTEC engagement point is much greater in magnitude than the increase seen at the same point without the blower. Hence, the "kick" is bigger with the blower, even though boost is building even after VTEC. Torque continues to climb all the way to redline, but the big jump comes when the cam profiles change at 6k.

There are significant differences in the F22C cam profiles and tuning, and I'm not fully aware of them all. However, a smoother VTEC transition makes sense, because the VTEC cam proviles are less agressive, being tuned to produce peak power at a lower engine speed. I'd expect the transition to be smoother, but I'm really not sure.

Perhaps it's worth mentioning that the MY00-01 cars subjectively "kick" harder than the MY02-03 cars, becaue they have a bigger dip in torque just before VTEC engagement. Makes 'em a tad slower, but makes the kick more obvious and subjectively "harder."

NA is OK, but the way a centrifigual blower makes power is more fun.

Hahaha, never thought of that, but it should certainly do the trick.

Get and intake so you can hear the motor eating air. It will also make the changeover louder. Maybe you still won't get that kick but at least you'll hear it.

Does anyone know if the VTEC transition with the F22C remains smooth after FI is added?
FI enhances VTEC and makes the car pull at that much harder at the top. It takes what was a smooth transition and makes it much more abrupt. Faster though, no question about that. But in a SC application, your power is all at the top.
