Default How do I remove the steerig wheel cover?

I see no screws holding the steering wheel horn/button cover. Does it just pull off?

I'm afraid to pull on it with the airbag and all.

Anyone ever done it?

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, and wait at least three minutes before beginning work.
2. Remove the access panel from the steering wheel, then disconnect the connector between the cable reel 2P connector and driver

Well, I just got home and tried it, I got the reel connecters and horn lead off, but when I pull on the steering wheel cover it wont budge. I dont want to pull any harder cause I'm afraid I'll break it.

Does it just snap or pop off?

BTW, I need this off because the block head who owned the car before me put his own custom badge on the wheel cover and I need to get all the exess glue off before I throw my Rick's "S" badge on.

Did you loosen the two Torx bolts?

Ok, I understand now, The airbag and the rubber cover are 1 piece right? I thought the cover was a seperate skin that could be removed w/o the airbag.

Guess I'll have to scrape the glue off with it on the wheel.

Most likely since the cover would de designed to either split or blow out to the side if the airbag went off.

What glue?

Autozone has "steering wheel pullers" for rent. All the above process is correct, but may still leave you with a stubborn wheel that won't let go of the hub. Thats where the Autozone tool comes in.
