Default How do you change filter on the AEM CAI

I recently bought a 2002 S2k. It has a AEM CAI (not v2). The red intake pipe wraps all the way around to under the lower right bumper. Can you change the filter w/o taking off the darned bumper! Any tips.

Seems like a crazy place to route the air filter.

It's really simple. I suggest jacking the car up a few inches, but you can do this while its flat on the ground too, its just harder to fit under there...

You just have to remove some clips for the plastic under the filter. Probably about 6 clips in total to give you enough room to move the black plastic under tray to the side so that you can access the filter from underneath.

All you do is loosen the filter, and then just carefully manuever it down out of the car.

You don't actually replace the filter either, you just clean it and re-oil it... either with the AEM or K&N filter charger kits.
