How do you define "sports car"

I personally consider the Mustang a sports car because it fits my definition. The IS300 is a sedan so that one doesn't count.
IMO there are different levels of sportiness in a car.

either way, seems like you are a bit confused on what a sports car is.
Do you work for an insurance company by chance?
IMO any car that is geared for performance is a "sports" car. This includes sedans, convertibles, coupes, hatchbacks, notchbacks, etc. As for specifics our beloved S is a true "roadster" (2 seater, rwd, convertible).
