Default Question changing gears...

See the video below where I go from 2 to 3 going down the on-ramp. The shifting is so quick and smooth, but I want to make sure I'm not doing damage with those types of quick shifts.

nothing i can see wrong with that.
you'll wear the syncros a little faster because they have to mesh together in shorter time, but they're gonna wear anyway.
aside from that, if you're shifting super quick to the point where youre getting chirps from the rears (not allowing the revs to drop enough) you might be putting extra strain through the drivetrain, but that's what the car's built for.
nice bend in the on-ramp

My kind of rule of thumb is: if the tires are chirping during changes your doing it to quick

Is that a shift from 3rd to 6th at the end? Skip shifting destroys synchro sleeves.

Yes, it was a 3 to 6 shift. Good to know about the sleeves.

I don't think I've chirped the tires in this car ever.

Thanks for the feedback.

At least physically row through the 4th and 5th gears on the way to 6th, you can keep the clutch in if you want to.

If the transmission doesn't complain when you shift it should be fine.

Do you have an Aprilia?
