Wouldn't Type B be the proper kit? Our tops are made of vinyl (PVC).
I'm doing it from inside. It is fabric inside, right?

I installed Tear-Aid Type B and sanded all the metal areas with fine sand paper on both the driver's and passenger's side. I did this as a precaution as I had no wear on the top that was noticeable.

I let Tear-Aid cure for a few days before operating the top. It looks like it will hold up nicely but I can't say for sure until some time has passed.

I bought the five-foot roll from Cabelas for ~$25 including shipping. You'll have extra left. It should be enough for 2-3 cars if you only apply it the area as shown in the photo.

Thanks Triple-H!

If there is so much remaining after using the 5' roll couldn't we use the smaller kit thats only$6?

Smaller Kit
It has a 3" by 12" sheet and two smaller ones...that should be enough.

Ok I just installed this on two identical cuts. They are about 3" wide. Hopefully the tear-aid can survive being rolled back since my cuts are right on a break point.

Now that I have done that, does anyone have any ideas on what to fill the gap on the outside with? Even with the tear-aid on the inside there still is probably a quarter inch gap. I was thinking some type of black silicone could be used to fill in the area, but would it hold up to being rolled back when the top goes down?
