Default How do you get your car up on jackstands?

Whenever I change my oil, I jack up the front of my car and put it on jackstands. My jackstands are pretty high however so it takes a little bit of juggling to get the car up. First I drive up on two plank of wood so my car is high enough to fit my jack under the car. Then I place the jack on the subframe in the center of the car and jack it high enough until I can fit one jackstand under one side. Then I move the jack over a little and continue jacking until I can get the other jackstand in.

However, I've always been curious what strategy everyone else uses. Anyone care to speak up? Pictures would be great too.

I lift the back first from the differential and jackstand the back, then get to the front engine point from behind the front wheel to jackstand the front of the car.

If it's just for an oil change, you fellas are going to way too much trouble.

I use levitation. Just gesture hypnotically, and the car rises into the air. Be sure to get some other people position the jackstands under it. Learn from my mistake, as when I stopped gesturing in order to move the jackstands myself, the car came crashing down!

I went to Home Depot and bought some wood and made some custom ramps. They are pretty long but they work great. I have trouble getting a jack under my car without driving up something because I am pretty low
