I just bought a used 2002 S2000 and did my first oil change but I can't shut off maint required light. Would you have any suggestions or cure.

How you reset the 'Maintainance Required' light:

Step #1: Read the manual
Step #2: See step #1.

 

sorry i have an 04 it's a little different i believe

 

push down the trip button, turn key to stage 2. Wait until it stops flashing, then start the car.

 

Here is the quote from the owner's manual in case you don't have one....."To reset the maintenance required indicator, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position, then press and hold the trip meter reset button while you turn the ignition switch ON. Continue holding the button until the indicator resets (the indicator light goes out)."

thanks for the help...i had the same problem...the trip reset button thing works!!!

 

Had my car for 6 years,and that f%$#ing light kept on flashing,all this time.Thak you guys.!!!

 

I think this was covered once... maybe twice before.
