Default how does mugen intake compare to other intake?

I read several posts complaining about hydrostall, or something like that. so how does mugen intake compare to these others? more importantly, how much improvement can the car get with mugen intake? is it worth the dollar considering it's $1k+?

thanks.

Quite simply, no you're not going to get 1000+ dollars in performance. Spring for one of the AEM knockoffs for 100 dollars instead.

Then plug the drain hole under the hood and make yourself an "umbrella".

The Mugen intake is for bling and bling only. There, I said it.

You buy an intake for small performance benefits. If you buy anything over.....say $250 you're in it for the bling (mostly).

I'm a huge Mugen fan - I've probably got close to $5,000 in Mugen parts and someday I'll have more , but the intake......well......it is a looker

yeah, me too. I am a Mugen fan. Looking at their combo, intake/header/exhaust, which price is about the same, the intake seems like the one that is not worth the price, unless it gives better gain than others... I am thinking all Mugen for this combo, but if intake doesnt give much performance, I might go with something else. How about Mugen Header and exhaust?
