Default Test Pipe Noise

Ok, so I had my test pipe put on today and it made my exhaust even louder and I like it very much when i get on the car.

But.........when I'm around 5800-6400 RPMs and i let go of the gas, I hear this RICEY ass noise. This tin-can, rattlely, crap. When i step on the gas, it goes away.

I had Mike(Jacko) drive the car and it sounded alright from outside, but when i'm inside, I can't help but hear this god-awful noise when i'm in this particular RPM range and when i let off. Anyone else experience this?

By the way, it's a T1R test pipe, mated to a J's racing N1 single.

Thanks.

Does the J's Racing N1 exhaust come with any resonator ? Most of the aftermarket exhausts which doesn't come with a resonator, most of them will sounded "buzz" under accleration and deceleration at a certain rpm because it doesnt have enough resonance in the exhaust.

You should check the connections on the test pipe, one of the nuts could be loose.

Yes, it's resonated.

It's broken, please remove the entire assembly and bring it to my house for disposal.

LOL

Ya, i didn't get to check the thing if it's got a loose nut. I know the car's got one behind the wheel though.

Anyway, I heard the car from the outside again today. But, when I drive it, this weird noise is killing me.

The set up sounds familiar to the Amuse R1000, only louder.

If the car is still running right I would bet you have a loose nut on the test pipe (as well as behind the steering wheel lol)... I had the same thing happen when I was running a test pipe on my eclipse, one of the nuts worked its way loose and it was the most annoying sound ever, and just like you say, it was on deceleration only and only happened within a certain rpm range
