How Does Your S2000 Handle In The Rain?
well i take it easy on the car when its raining but i get i just need some new SO-2s. cuz the rears are shot to shit on my car and like liek carter9000 said, yes, it does become a challenge to drive in the rain.
I have driven through a couple of rainstorms with no problems, even at freeway speeds. This is on the RE050's though, and I have yet to drive in the rain with S-02s, so I don't have much to compare it to.
Like people said......depends on the driver. If you are smooth in your inputs, then youll handle great.....I only lost the back once.....although controlled, because I mashed the gas coming out of a turn (empty 4 lane road). I think the car is great in the rain.
It depend how you control your gas like some of the guys here said. Remember just like driving in track you must do smooth motion. I like pulling the ebrake in the rain a little bit to get the rear end loose. Drifting around in the rain cools beause it doesn't kill the over price S03. But I have to admit this car tend to let it rear out easier then my M3.
S-02s with 10,000 miles.
2002 MY
Slightly tweaked for performance alignment.
Rain and hard rain.
Car felt great, and was fast, on the track.
Saw over 100mph in two places on the track every lap.
Smooth driver inputs, that's what is needed.
If an S has a reasonable alignment S-02s are great in the rain.

when it rains, drive like an old lady and you'll be fine. no point in being speed racer when it's wet.
S03's are better rain tires than S02's.
RA-1's are very crappy rain tires - that's what I use now, and even in the little rain we get in so cal I can't drive on the freeway in a straight line. My car slides side to side at about 55+mph. =(
