How does your s2000 handle in snow?

I'm glad you understand. I just like to make newcomers feel a bit more welcome. I don't see anything wrong with "enlightening" a newbie about the search. I just worry sometimes that a quick, "blunt" "do a search" could be construed as being "cold" and uncaring. Hopefully, noone treated you in this fashion during your initial perion on the forum.

Experience with the S03s? Sorry no, but...
Given that:
1. they are W (168mph) and Y (186mph) rated
2. there are no sipes anywhere on the tread
3. the maximum aspect ratio is 55% (mostly 30-45)
4. they are not M+S rated (more than 75% of contact patch is rubber)
5. TireRack owner survey results list only a red "N/A" for snow traction
6. TireRack has them in the same category "max performance" as the S02s.
7. The tread looks very similar to that on my Goodyear F1s, which Ford warns "NO SNOW!!"
I'd say they would be just as useless as the S02s in cold weather.
I'd get something with a real RMA snowflake-on-the-mountain rating, in either a winter (good performance, decent snow) or snow (max snow grip, less performance) tire.

Well, I was going to respond with, "Yeah, S-03s are worthless in the snow". But snoopy said it much better than I would have and hit the nail on the head as to why S-03s are NOT to be used in the snow. Well stated, snoopy!

I like driving my S2000 in the snow with Blizzak MZ-01 tires in the stock sizes. We get deep snow from time to time here in Wyoming and the first snows begin in September and the last snow is generally around Memorial Day. In September and May the snow never lasts very long, but it does from October to April.
I think the S2000, with proper snow tires, may be one of the best rear wheel drive cars for snow.
Having said that, I'd add two things. First, no rear wheel drive car is as "straight forward" to drive in the snow as a front wheel drive car. Also, the SO-2 tires when combined with snow, add up to great entertainment but no transportation.
For winter transportation, I drive my '93 Prelude VTEC. Snow tires can't protect my treasured S2000 from the idiot in the SUV who never learned that going fast with 4WD in snow doesn't tranlate into stopping fast with 4WD on ice.

If you are going to drive your S2000 in snow, get dedicated snow tires; they're a lot cheaper than the insurance deductible you will be paying to repair your S2000 if you don't get snows...

The dealership couldn't move it from outside to inside the shop during the winter without someone on each side of the car to help guide it. Don't even think of trying it without snow tires and counter weights in the trunk.
My M-6 was easier to drive in the snow and the rear wheels used to break loose everytime you took your foot off the gas to slow down.
