ok, from reading about the horror stories of people getting their s2k's stolen, it makes me worry...

i iknow civics are easy to lift, but i always thought a s2k would be harder because the switchs and ignition are created separately or something...?

the only way i thought they could steal the car is through changing out the ecu, b/c of the immobilizer system that is present.

You don't need to dick with the ignition if you steal it without trying to start it

Keep it garaged at home and you'll reduce your chances of it being stolen 10x...

From what I've seen most theives boost parts from the car rather than the car itself because of the chip in the key. It's probably easier to cut the soft top, detach the seats lets say and drive off in a pickup with them than it would be to steal the whole car...

Also keep in mind those horror stories are maybe .1 or .01% of owners so keep things in perspective!

So FYI lets no talk about methods to steal the S. No sense in giving people hints about how to steal it. That said there are a number of ways to steal the S. Still your average joe is not going to steal it. Only pros are going to go after it. If a pro want your car they're going to get it and there is really not much you can do. Still the theft rate is low and it's really not something you should worry about.
