Default How fast can you make your S go?

Hey,

I have 10 months remaining on 03' lease. I love my car to death I really do. When it comes time to give it back I'm faced with this delima, should I buy my next one and put some serious work into her and make it a 10-11 sec car. Is that even possible? How much time does a SC take off of the car with a ton of other mods. Also, how much will it cost? Another 20-30k I'm assuming. That still puts me under the 70k range assuming I can get to around 11-12secs. I'm also guessing the next C6 ZO6 will be running 11-12sec and will be around the 70k ball park. So thats my dilemma, can I make the S fast enough as a ZO6 and still drive it like it my everyday car even though it isn't Thanks,

Larry

New Z06 should be low 11's. It's ALWAYS better (more reliable) to buy a car that is fast from the factory than it is to mod a car to be that fast. Z06 all the way, if you're going to spend the money.

I pushed a car off a 1/4 mile high cliff once. ET was well under 10 seconds. I think I can reproduce this in the S2000. However, the car has never been the same since.

Gravity's a bitch, but I guess it doesn't discriminate

To get our S to be as fast as a Z06 is possible, but to get it as a Daily driver is the real problem. It sounds like you have a good amount of money to spare. Maybe you should really look at cars that have better quarter mile times stock.
Honestly, I would like to see our S become this car you invision, but that would be quite an undertaking.

Good luck.

If you want to run 11's get a z06 or a supra if you want to stay jdm. But the s2k was never ment to be a drag monster..... i think it is a waste of time personaly. thats like taking a 69 chevy and making it handle well.
