I got pulled over for 146 (in a 60) last summer in my Integra GSR... It was too high for the cop's radar to register, so I only got a verbal warning

246km/h = 153mph but normal is 130mph+ if posible on the German highway. And never over the speed limit.

No slope needed, just find a road that is a few miles long, has a field on either side, and is new concrete and very wide...like the one I use .

Personally Ive been between 130 and 140MPH on the track at Oulton, I found the car was still pulling strongly when it was time to slow down for the next corner.

On the Hyabusa do you guys know that over here in the UK we can get a Westfield Hyabusa, a 500KG car with the Hyabusa engine in it, scary!!!!

There were a total of 13 votes for 170+ with one retraction. Unless I am missing something, the only way your going to get that is with regearing and/or bigger wheels along with the power to get you there. With power alone you are still going to hit the rev limiter. Someone enlighten me if I am in error.

If you want to see turbodaves record run go to 'Library' at the top of the page then 'Video Gallery' You'll see turbodave's video listed. It's impressive. It also looks slightly downhill.

I've hit 140mph with no problem at all, and wouldn't have difficulty believing 160 stock from some cars given they are going to vary from car to car.

Indeed - the Autobahn gets more and more crowded .
I have to step on the brakes for people who decide to change into my lane, when I approach at a much higher speed, quite a bit more often than I had to a few years ago.
It's also weird that most people seem to notice an approaching Porsche a lot better than the S2000 in their rear view mirrors.

Und du haeltst dich auch wirklich immer minutioes an die Geschwindigkeitsregeln?!
Nebenbei gesagt glaube ich, dass mit der 130er Richtgeschwindigkeit kmh, nicht mph gemeint sind .
Scherz .
Fahr vorsichtig .

A few possibilities:
1) reading is in km/h
2) major downhill

Changing the size of the wheels will not help - the speedo is not based on actual car speed but rather driveshaft speed.
