how the heck do u guys drive S on hwys?
I think the only problem is you did not roll the windows up. If I go over 75 mph or just want a easier ride in the car, I roll the windows up but the top stays down and it is nice.
I think the windows will cure all your problem but if it doesn't... maybe a hardtop or another car.
I do think topdown is less noisy verses top up. At least top down is just engine noise and wind noise, with the top up, you have to deal with a bit of rattle when going through not so good us highway.
now, my wife is talking about getting her S probably next year or 2 after we did a 135 mph top down... it was sweet!

i think u got a lemon. i always cruise on hyw +95mph with top down with music on. music gets little hard to hear with windows down but not bad, and when windows are up its perfect.
And i can even talk on the phone with windows up. but then i'm little short.

I drop the top, put on a baseball cap and hit the expressway at 72 mph all the time, and when I go up to Toronto the speed is closer to 83.
I'll be the first to admit I do put up the windows at this speed, I find it is easier to hear the stereo, and if it is cool out, the "cabin" stay a bit warmer.

Oh yea, I forgot, I got those tooPicturepro is right, they help, especially the cold breeze up the back of my neck.
Girls tend to bitch about the top being down even off the highway (along with anything else they can find to bitch about...most girls, not all). Some will wear a pony tail or compromise in some way like having the windows rolled up, the others are too high maintenance!
I enjoy the top down at any speed. I don't mind the wind or noise. I also don't mind NOT talking to my girlfriend while driving. She does hate it when I turn up the music over the already loud noise, but I hate it when she drives anywhere in her car and I have to be the passenger (she's only driven my S when I've had too much to drink)
If you don't like driving with the top down because it messes up your hair than get a damn haircut ya hippie!
BTW I have a shaved head so no worries about messing up my hair!

This last summer, I took a 750 mile (@ 80-85 mph) trip to Arizona. I intended to drive with the top up for the entire trip. I didn't even make it 1 mile before I had to stop and put the top down.
I was roasted pretty good since I didn't put any sunscreen on but it was well worth it.
I roll my windows half way up when going 75 or more.
