I had the same problem. After about 3 or 4 months I made myself not drive it everyday. It helped to find excuses not to drive it. Like it might rain today. Not driving it through the week makes it much more nice to put the top down on the weekends and cruise. Its a tough addiction.
haha...exactly.

i racked up 3k in the first month, i don't even notice i drive that much until i gotten the S.

I've been addicted to driving my S as well. I daily drive mine to work and then on the weekends as well. I can't wait to jump in and take a drive. I got a damper put on my excitement though last weekend when I received a speeding ticket. Now I'm more hisitant to jump in and take a drive.

I'd been looking for S2000s for a long time. They're amazing looking cars and drive even better. Of course, being here, we all know that.

So whats my problem? I can't keep out of the damn drivers seat. I have a daily driver, but I hate driving it now. I say Im not going to take the S to work... and yet I do.

I've had the car one week and have put over 1000 miles on it. I'd say 95% of those have been top down miles.... regardless, its great.
How the hell do I resist driving my car??

Easy.....driving 1000 miles a week will have me broke in no time.

I haev an L28ET powered 240Z tbat I drove from 04-05, still have it sitting back at my parents house in South Carolina. I know all about the quirks of owning an old car (although I just tack up the noises/etc to character) - which is why driving the S is so special. Sure the Z would rape this sucker in a straight line, but you can't beat that new car smell, the handling, etc.... under warranty! Of course there is that annoying car payment which isn't going anywhere soon.. hrmm.

Id love to get the Z out here and pump some more cash into it.

I'm the same way! My gf lives about 63 miles away from me, and I go there nearly every single day. I have a daily now, but I hate it.

Before I had the daily, I'd be driving 120+ miles a day in my S2K. About 1.5 months had me at 10,000 miles and 3 oil changes.

I've forced myself now to keep it down....as much as I can.

I have three buddies with S2K's and I've driven them around, I've made up my mind entirely on buying one, waiting to get rid of my bike first (should be gone within the week!). I'm actually buying an S2000 to daily drive, and my MR2 will remain the beast it is for weekends or hang-out nights (though it'll be hard to choose which car to take... I love the way S2K's look, they're gorgeous). MR2 is nearly complete, should be at around 400WHP when I'm done. My S2000 aside from a Mugen hardtop, wheels, coilovers, and new Honda badges I don't think I'm going to mod. Stockazfuk DD!
