Interesting. I've never had a problem wearing a hat with the top down. It seems those flex fit hats never really fit properly (I have a few myself).

Drive w/ the passenger windows up. It helps a bit.

I tried the Liquid Nails trick, but it messed up my hair too much.

So lately I've been going with a staple gun. If you do this, be sure to keep the staples shorter than about 1/2", though. HPH

I saw a really nice looking hat at the dealer's parts department the other day. Nice embroidered Honda "H" logo, "HONDA" oin the sides. $17.95. It is not adjustable fit, but has an elasitc head band inside the hat. They only has S/M size.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I was afraid of this when I first got the car so I got a chain like the ones the dentist uses to keep the little bib on you. I would clip one end to my color, loop the chain through the adjustment strip and then attach the other clip to my color again. My hat never came off so I stopped using the chain.

Mostly, my hats stay on but just in case they don't I have a hat retention device.

I tried several options and finally resorted to a leather English driving hat that I turn backwards to keep the wind from lifting it off at anything beyond 40mph. That seems to work fine at pretty much anything up to at least 70mph from what I have experienced so far.

No visor shading effect, but it keeps my scalp from getting scalded in the sun and my hair out of my face.

if your wearing a hat to block the sun then just get sunscreen or sunglasses instead.
