That 2005 S2000 will fall apart within a year.

You dad should buy a nice dependable Chevy Aveo.

I agree with the above mentioned posts. This car doesn't seem to fit you. Let someone with the desire and respect of this fine automobile purchase it and appreciate it for what it is.

I agree with everyone else, wrong car choice buddy.

Also whats pretty good driving for 2 years?? If you got dings on your record for control violations or speeding , I would highly not recommend an S2000 as it can be a handful at times, especially if your DD in an area with rain and snow.

why don't you just get a job and buy your own car

that way you don't have to worry about your homosexual father

maybe your "gay" dad is steering you away from this car because he doesnt feel comfortable with you behind the wheel of a fairly new sports car. i think anyone that is up to date on the current world knows that honda is known for NOT having problems with high mileage.

saying don't buy a car because it's a 4cyl is kind of...well crazy imo...on that statement im guessing he's never herd of the company known as lotus?

get something else for now, and when you can make your own decision and are safe behind the wheel...come back for the S

Oh, come on they guy, ("cough, cough, kid" ) asked for information on "problems".

When compared to other sports cars the maintenance is as low of a cost as it gets, provided that you don't beat the piss out of the car. Guess what I am saying is that alot of this comes down to YOU. If your dad thinks you can handle having this car then maintenance should be no worry, if not........

One thing you should plan for regardless of how you drive is tires, the rears won't last much more than 15k miles on these cars.

As a father (of 2), and having a really great father to boot, I have to say this.

With only 2 years of driving under your belt, I would not buy you something like an s2k. If you want to buy it, fine. You get your own insurance, a job, and buy it yourself. You need help working on it? Sure I will be there. You need advise? I will gladly give you some. I'll even help you keep up with the maintenance. You want me to buy a 18 year old a sports car (assuming 2 years of driving makes you now 18 years old)? Nope, not going to happen. I do not care what your grades are. I will not buy you one. I will however entertain your desire for the car, and go test drive one with you.

This is what my father did FOR me. It makes me appreciate the things I have, because I worked for them, and no one paid a dime for them except myself. I now appreciate 4 cars and a nice house (all paid off btw) and am only in my early 30s.

I hope this does not come off as aggressive or spiteful, I am simply looking at this situation from your "gay" father's point of view. He is most likely trying to teach you something. Even if you don't realize it yet.

If your daddy has to buy it for you, I seriously doubt you're responsible enough to drive one.

Everyones been giving negative vibes, hes not answering anymore.

Right now I'm only 14 and as much as I want to have an S2000, deep inside I know I'm not responsible enough. Maybe I'll have 5-7 years before even thinking about buying an S.

As for your dad, I have to agreee with some of the guys here, I think hes trying to tell you something.
