how long did your last set of tires last?
i'm approaching 12,000 miles on my car and i would estimate that i still have like 75% tread left. i would guess that these tires will last me at LEAST to 20k, if not 25 or 30k. i drive in a spirited manner but i don't do burnouts. i've heard of people going through tires every 5-7k miles...how is that possible? burnouts at every opportunity?
do the AP1 tires (can't remember what they're called....S02's?) wear faster than those that are on AP2s?

Some of it depends on the tire choice. The OEM RE050 will last longer than the stickier RE01R.
I average 8-12k on tires depending on how sticky they are. The RE01R is probably the stickiest street tire I've ever owned, and this set will get me to about 8k miles. My car is DD and I do autox...these tires have seen 3 autoxes and 19 autox launches.

My Stock RE050s lasted just over 14000 miles. As for people going through tires super fast, go to a few track days and see how long your tires last. Lol.

Front RE050's 30K, rear 20K. I'm on my 2nd set of fronts and 3rd set of rears at 40K. The key to even wear is 32psi cold with a good stock alignment with you sitting in the car. I don't drive in the rain or cold weather. I've only been to the track once (FATT), but most of my driving is pretty exciting on country roads.

Last set of Hankook RS2 lasted 9,000 miles. We ran the "Street Tire Challenge" last season in the Atlanta Region SCCA SOLO series, so those were not all street miles.
A set of Kumho V710s usually last 80 to 120 runs (approximately 60 to 100 miles).
