I finally did it- I signed the papers last night to trade in my silver/black for a yellow/black. They have given me a Nov. 23rd build date.

So, how long will it take to get to Florida?
I'm thinking the middle of Jan.

Does anyone know how long it takes from the build date to delivery date?

 

My build date is 11/10 with an expected December delivery so you are probably correct. Nice color choice!

 

6 weeks (approximately) between build date to delivery

Looks like you and I are thinking along the same lines: Best 2000MY color choice trading for best 2001MY color choice.

I was really torn, because the Silver is such a beautiful color. I had a chance to see the Yellow at the South Florida auto show, and it's badass.

Oh well, I live a low profile life so I might as well drive a high profile car!

Glad to hear that you have seen and liked the Spa Yellow. I am only going on pictures. The dealer sales mgr. saw the Spa Yellow at the Honda show and really likes it. My dealer has offered me a decent trade on my 2000, but I'm in the process of trying to sell it on my own. What's your situation?

I am trying to get more than the dealer offered me on trade which is $31000. My Silver/Black only has 5400 miles. I have listed it on the sell board for $32750 just a little less than I paid for it. My 2001 Spa Yellow is costing a bit more than my 2000.

What they're getting:
2000 silver/black with
-Front lip spoiler

-Bald as sh*t rear tires
-Viper alarm
-$29,000 trade in

Since the difference is only $7200, I'm saving about $1800 in tax. I was going to sell outright, but I would have to get over $30,800 to make it worth while.

BTW, this is the same Yellow as the NSX. It has small flakes of gold and red in it. I can't wait to see it in the sun.

Are you getting the aero kit this time? I think I want the front spoiler, but I'm not positive. I'll probably get the Titanium shift knob also. The 2001 is $35000 with no accessories. S.C. has a maximum car tax of $300 on a new car.
