How low do you sit?

I actually have very long legs and arms. I'm 6'2, 153 lbs.
I have Bride Pro non-adjustable seats that are upright and yes, maybe 2 clicks from the front. I have size 12 shoe and I heel toe just fine. My head does sit quite high up and I have to lean down to see a light change if I'm in the front of a line at stoplight but the car fits like a tight glove.
My avatar of me driving that GMC van is exactly how I sit in the S2k.

i need a phonebook to see over the windshield....J/K
I'm 5'3". One click from the front with a very slight recline. I have a great view of my surroundings (when top down ofcourse). But im sure while driving, others only see me from my neck up.
But i suppose with the majority driving vans and SUV's now a days, they probably see all of the driver.
How tall/short is GAN SAN! He seems comfortable in it, always pushing it so hard.

I am 6.2 and 185 lbs . I slide the seat all the way back and drive like that. Cuz my legs get cramped if i dont do that. Now i bought a Sparco Evo seat with Taitec seat rail and i ll see how it turns out.

I normally drive with my left arm on the window sill. I sit comfortably and can see across the hood.

"grannies" have a better seating position than most "sport enthusiast tuners." If you're leaning back, you're sitting improperly - end of story. You don't have full control of the wheel when you sit like some ghetto poser.
My car is putting out 400 to the ground - I let the car do the talking not my seating style because I couldn't care less about how anyone thinks I look when I drive
I used to refer people to www.turnfast.com but that site is down so I did a quick search on seating. Check this link out: http://autotrader.autos.msn.com/research/c...jsp?restype=new
"One of the most important and yet overlooked basics in driving your vintage or street car is seating position. The essence of high performance driving is to control weight transfer in order to maximize traction during the basic functions of braking, cornering and acceleration. To have that control you must be seated properly. When you're sitting upright, your mind is sharper and you think and react quicker."
If you're sitting too far back and leaning back, you have to move your body more to see out of blind spots, your legs and arms may be extended too far and it might take longer to do anything. Maybe this is why you all get mid 14 second passes at the track - everyone I see in youtube videos shifts like a"granny."
I'd rather look like a granny than drive like one
