I've only had my S for two months - The other night heading south out of Monroe to Duvall there's a 1.5 - 2 mile strech just before Duvall. I VTEC'd from 3rd as I passed a slow car and kept going thru 4th and into 5th. Pushin 120 before I shut it down. Scary, but smooth as glass and not the greatest road. I found it easy to not drop below 6k on the shifts. BTW, no cars in front or going the other way or I wouldn't have done it.

All in all a great thrill for an ole' timer - Took an hour before the grin wore off

How about you? How was your first time?

Erik

pretty much all the time. i live in FL and there's a mile long bridge that crosses the intercoastal waterway. whenever the bridge is clear, i always floor it till i hit the top. usually i hit 110-115 before i get to the top and slow down. since the bridge blocks any possible radar it's pretty much safe (from the law, anyway).

Salesperson made a mistake and let me take the car for a test drive with my girlfriend. The car went to 9000 at the first straight away. I fell in love that instant, (with the car, already in love with the girl-for you nuckle heads) and bought the car. Never been happier.

FWIW:

'00 - 03 6k RPM = 115 MPH
'04 6K RPM = 117 MPH

Thats w/ stock rear gears.

Stupid question #525^10 Does the '00 thru '03 VTEC cut in at 6k or 7k?
