Default How many miles?

How many miles will the average (engine not heavily modified) s2k go assuming routine maintenance is followed (fluid changes, tune ups...)? My MY05 is my daily driver and will see close to 30k miles per year on a highway (CA hwy) work commute. It still sees the area of VTEC and not babied at all. I am curious since the S2000 is not the typical Accord or Civic.

I have seen a couple posts in the past about this. Several people are well past the 100k mark with the earlier model years now. I do recall seeing a member with a 100,000+ mi. badge as well. My S is a MY00 but I only have 27,XXX mi on it. I try to take my wifes car for the long trips

I figured this would be a fairly common subject but an interesting one. For my practical car, I just bought a Ford F150, it was well taken care of and has 100,000 miles on it. In the F150 forums, many had over 200,000 miles but since the S2000 is more of the fun car, I did not know how many people actually used it for a daily commuter car. I love my S2000, way better than my previous 02 Boxster S and I see myself driving it a lot more since I only put 22k miles on the boxster in the 2.5 yrs I owned it.

Mine just hit 108,000 miles a few days ago and has never given me any trouble. As far as the engine, I believe it to be typical Honda. The parts to watch out for are those that Honda is new to using, like convertible tops and rear wheel drive components. I replaced my top a little over a year ago due to small wear holes on the sides. Honda addressed the wear hole issue by adding reinforcement to the newer tops. Also, the CV joints have been vibrating under hard acceleration for the past 10,000 miles or so. Hopefully, the CV joint swap will cure that problem for the next 100,000 miles.
