The limited production numbers are great. It keeps our car special! I love my S!

If all of the American S2k owners pitch in a buck, will we be able to buy another S2k?

, Billi!

Here in central MA, it's extremely rare for me to see another S on the road. It's an amazing thing to get this kind of exclusivity at the price -- as folks have pointed out in Xviper's "Should I buy..." thread.

Amen!

This subject of how limited the production was to be has been beat to death on the board...... but here's a summary:

Link to LA press conference on S2000, December 1998, for the 1999 show:
http://www.theautochannel.com/cybercast/laautoshow99/ In the above broadcast they indicate plans are for 5,000 in the US for each of the first two years, and they will

honda's become greedy, and devious....first they had all those problems with the Odysey minivan tannies going, but they refuse to acknowledge it....then the 2001-2003 Acura CL-s + TL-s (tip trannies) are all defective, even though they admitted it they refuse to make a recall (even though people gotten in accidents on the highway becuase of the problem)....i wouldn't be surprised if we saw a "2nd Generation" S2K within a few years...they'll prolly just say the demand for the car was a lot bigger then expected, so they decided to extend the "Legacy"...
