My salesman told me only 5000 cars are imported to America each year. I've heard quotes of as many as 15,000 cars per year. What is the truth? Anyone know for sure?

 

Can't say for sure. I 'heard' 5,000 the first year and 7,000 each subsequent year

 

I have heard of the following production numbers for the U.S. market:

2000 = 5,000
2001 = 5,000 to 7,500
2002 = 7,500

I have never heard of 15,000 S2k's per year, this must be a world wide production number. Though I would think it's far more than that...
