Too few to mention in my nearly forty years of driving; however, I 've gotten two speeding tickets in the last two years since I acquired the S. Is it me or the "arrest-me-red" color of my little beauty? It sounds like it's about time for cdelena to replay his "13 tickets in one night" story for those who haven't heard it yet. Thus far I have (knock on wood), never had a single ticket in my life, and I've been driving for 13 years now! This may change as I just got my '02 S2K a couple of weeks ago, but I hope not

I always speed, but just not excessively. i.e no more than 5 over in city areas and no more than 10 over on the highway. I'm still looking for a good place to hit VTEC in 6th gear though, since the fastest I've been so far is around 80MPH.

 

Since I was 18 I have had a Mustang 5.0, a civic, a first gen Lightning, a Taurus SHO V8, a VW GTi VR6 and soon I'll have the stook.

I have had 1 speeding ticket in my life, in the 4 years I have been autocrossing 0 tickets. I suggest you find a different outlet to get your thrill of speed .

 

2 in my whole life. 1 when I was young and stupid. I was 17 and just asking for it - I deserved that one. 2nd one over 20 years ago. Wasn't sure what the speed limit was in that part of town - well, I was wrong. Bottom line - "You are in control of your own destiny (or speeding tickets)." Your car may be able to do a million miles per hour but you don't have to do it on public roads. If you do, don't blame the "damn" cops.

I couldn't agree with you more. In my relatively short term of driving ( 8 years), I have had the misfortune of recieving 5 tickets; all between the age of 16 and 17. In retrospect, I can tell that I did not appreciate the danger that speed puts both the speeder and society into. Needless to say, I haven't had another ticket in the last 6 years or so. Speed is a choice that we all make, and if caught, we have no-one to blame but ourselves.

Besides, Becoming a Police Officer myself is sure to change the way I drive..for the better I hope.

Most of them were not even speeding, but my first car was a yellow mustang GT with a steeda package and if the cops saw my young self behind the wheel, I never stood a chance to get out of anything.

 

I haven't got a ticket yet in my s2000, but I have been pulled over twice when I first got it and answered questions by the cop. How much? The specs, etc. I was speeding both times but I'm in law enforcement and my plates are blocked if the police run them.

 

I have been pulled over only once in my s2000. I usually speed too!
I guess im pretty lucky

I have been followed at least 5 times though!
