i live in pa and it doesn't snow all the time here.....just some of the time....
problem is a) how bad is it in the snow
b) does driving a 2 seat convert all the time get annoying?
basically would it be a good car as an everyday thing?

We had a decent snow/ice storm in NC last year. I had S02's with about 7k on them and it scared the shit out of me. I didn't leave my home for 3 days (due the the driveway being iced over and it has a decent incline). I imagine that if you had snow tires for the winter and drove like Mrs. Daisy you would be ok.
p.s. - I hate snow...

As long as you use appropriate tires (dedicated snows work best - I'm going with Pirelli P-Zero Nero UHP all-seasons), don't try to drive through snow drifts (think ground clearance) and are willing to learn how to handle a RWD car in slippery conditions, you should be fine. There's many of us that drive in the winter. It's a totally different characteristic than a FWD car so you need to learn that.
p.s. As my son would say (lives in Raleigh), there's more pigs than people in NC... I hate hurricanes and pig lagoons...

As an everyday car, i would say the S2000 is a pretty rough daily driver. Its got a pretty stiff suspension to start off, the seats are small, and the interior is very cramped. Considering that the S2000 has the tendency to oversteer on dry pavement, i would be very hesitant to even think about driving it in the snow. Drive in the snow with S02's? Forget it.

Daily driver for me.....I use Blizzak LM22's for snow tires and the car is great.
Having owned 3 cars (civic, prelude, now s2000), the s2000 IMO is the best winter car i've owned.
- Small cabin = heats up fast
- yeah, its RWD, but the balance is perfect, just drive smart.
- you practically sit over the rear wheels, so you can feel every little squirm in the car. Again, drive smart and you'll have no problems.

Either get dedicated snow tires or don't drive it at all.
My S with snow tires seemed to get around better than a lot of FWD cars with all season tires.
Snow tires or stay home.
