With all the salty dusk, do you think any will make it pass the air filter and make it into the engine?

I'm not at all certain, Former, but I think that's very unlikely. I guess I'd be a little concerned if I had CAI, but the stock airbox / filter / inlet combination should probably prevent salt particles from getting into the engine.

I think if some did make it pass the air filter, after combustion and stuff, if any particles are around still the oil filter would get it. Again, having a good oil filter and keeping the oil fresh is good practice.

Good thing they don't sugar the roads, eh? Wait a sec... My kids might like that. Can you say "snow cones?!"

p.s./ Seriously, I think you're right, XV. Minimal risk, really, even with CAI.

BAD BAD BAD!!!

Especially on a dark car.
The moment you get "salt" on your car it starts penetrating your clear coat...and then eventually your paint....

My previous car, when i resided in pittsburgh pa, had to be used and abuse in the winter.
After a year i noticed that my underbody was rusting pretty bad.
I would look at similar cars of simliar age in california and the rust did not seem to be as bad.

fok salt....reason why i sold the car, moved to california and got an S~
