I really think this is a pointless thread since with car insurance there are about as many "factors" that determines price as their are opinions on this forum......
There is just WAY too many variables that are not even mentioned here such as:
1) Location / demographics based on what state you live in
2) Different laws for discounts (for example CA gives you an engineer degree discount!)
3) Driving experience vs. age allowances
4) Tickets that are on record vs. deferred on traffic school
5) Classification of car type for multiple cars
List goes on an on....but will try to be as accurate as possible on mine:
2005 Rio S2000, CA driver, 4 vehicles
No tickets, no accidents, 7 policies with State Farm at age 30 and had license since 16 so 14 years experience.
I paid $342 for 6 months full coverage (100/300/100, 500 comp ded.)
Thus $57 monthly

Age: 24
Year: 2005
Status: Single
Area: New York City
History: Clean record, continuously insured for 11 months
Other: Alarm, Immobilizer, etc in car (no DRL)
Coverage: 100K/300K with 250/1000 deductible for comprehensive and collision, and 100K for property
Paying 1480 / 6 months now. Should go down to 1150 in 3 weeks. I'm paying WAY too much. But what can I do?
Too many things are against me: age, location, short insurance history and no second car, mariage status ... etc. I'm in the worst bucket
