Actually, the reason I'm asking is because I am looking at buying an S2k that comes with the hard top, and since I won't be needing it, I want to know how much I can sell it for.

What color?

I see no reason why you couldn't sell it for $1500-2000, private sale (maybe more). They're well over $2000 brand new.

Don't forget that when selling it, you must mention the fact that additional hardware is necessary for a successful installation. That hardware includes the mechanisms which install in the vehicle itself to secure the back of the hardtop to the vehicle.

Also depends on color. Spa Yellow is worth less since they can be had new for $1800.

Why "must" he mention that? I mean, it'd certainly be nice. But it's not his responsibility to educate potential buyers. They're the ones who are supposed to do the research and know what they're getting into BEFORE purchasing anything.
