how much does are oem shift knob weigh?

Default how much does are oem shift knob weigh?

im trying to find something heavy or heavier then oem knob..

does anyone know the weight of ap2 shift knob?

I don't think they have changed since 02. The weight of MY 03 OEM shift knob is 240 grams or about 8.6 ounces. Granted the MY 03 is an AP1, but I don't think the shift knob has changed.

Fwiw, the Voodoo Aluminum know has a nice weight and is about 50$.

Skunk2 knob weighs in at 440g. Not a bad not, i liked mine until I decided to swap the stocker back on.

Don't mean to hijacked this thread but. Is there a different ways of removing the knob (special tool) ? I've tried to twistted off the OEM knob with my hand and the damm thing wound't move. I really don't want to use extra force. May break something. Sorry 4 hijacking your thread.

Loosen the lock-nut on the bottom side of the shift knob then twist off by hand counter-clockwise.

No wonder. I saw that loc-nut but wasn't sure if it come attacthed with the knob. thanks.
Anyway back to the knob weight... I maybe putting an RX-8 shift knob on mine. look nice. 6 speeds logo, very heavy.
