How much lower is the oem lip?

Is that a piece of steel or what? It's shown on a car without a lip. Does it fit with and without a lip?

I have no idea on either of your questions. I don't have one of these things; I just did a Google search to find the website. Maybe someone else will chime in

Thanks, I hope so! This product looks interesting but the manufacturer's description leaves much to be desired.
