I have the oppurtunity to buy a salvaged S2000, with only 25,000 miles, model year 2004. It only has cosmetic damage, but pretty much every body panel is either dented/scraped/scratched up. The headlights and tail-lights are not reusable. The engine/radiator was not touched, and the wheels are all straight. The interior is near-new condition.

What does the drivetrain usually sell for on its own?

 

It might help to post pictures and also the price of sale?

 

I maybe off, but I would think the following:

Engine = 2-3k probably closer to 3k if 100% complete
Transmission = 500-1k
Rear End = 500

 

Depends what you want to do with it.

If you plan to rebuild it, you'll probably sink 8-12k in it.

If you plan to part it out, you could POTENTIALLY make 6k out of it.

Complete engine + Ecu 3-4k
I agree with Paul on the tranny and rear.
Both seats together 1000 something depending on condition
Maybe another 1k for random parts, (pannels, steering wheel, suspension parts if intact etc)
