Default How much slower with a passenger?

If a stock s2000 is capable of low- 14s, high-13s, how much of a handicap will it be with a passenger?

I've noticed quite a significant difference, driving with a passenger. Is there a formula that can be worked out to figure this out? Has anyone run a test on this?

Say that you weigh 170lbs., and your passenger is the same equal weight to make it 340lbs. How much slower will your car be?

Thanks!

there really is no formula, although 10lbs of wait equals to 1 hp.. so lets say your passenger weighs 150lbs.. it equals to 15hp loss..

so lets put this to perspective. lets say you have a car w/ 250hp but weighs 2500lbs...
it should go considering the gearing is the same, the same speed as a car with 300hp but weighs 3000lbs...

You do know that the max. load of the S2000 is only 400 lbs, right? Unless you weigh only 100 lbs, I wouldn't drive your buddy around too much.

i dont know about the car, but I know that I drive slower when a passenger is in the car b/c I don't want that kinda risk or liability of me driving like a maniac with a passenger. Alone? Thats a whole other ball of wax.

400lb load limit. yep, supposed to include driver and passenger
