i am having my headlights replaced by the insurance company and will want to sell the old ones when i get them back. i am in the dark as how much to ask for them,...ap2 lights, bulbs and all, a few sand pits from daily driving, no leaking or moisture in them as they have never been taken apart. just trying to get an idea before i ask too much or too little.

 

by bulbs do you mean the HID ballasts or just the bulbs themselves.


retail the headlight housings (main compartment with all the lenses and reflectors etc) go for about 800.00 from the dealer (depending on where you buy them)

Used ap2 housings usually go for about 300-400 depending on condition (lenses, all tabs present etc) and market at the time

Used ap2 ballasts go for about 100-300 again depending on condition and market for them.

 

i'm confused. your insurance is replacing headlights that you say are in good working condition? why?

 

there was a storm...high winds etc, and i was driving and got sand blasted...not tooooooo bad at all but i have a black car and i am not down with the salt and pepper look on my front end so i made the claim,...the insurance and body shop want the car in brand new condition so they replace and paint anything with any amount of damage
