How much for a used s2000 Header?
guys, i want to sell the engine header for my car as the short block is toast due to severely spun/burnt bearings caused by oil starvation. after the mechanic inspected my car i had an option to replace only the short block of the car meaning that the header is in 'usable' condition. i opted for an engine replacement so now i want to sell the header to the mechanic (he specializes in engine work/rebuilds etc.), but i'm not sure how much to ask for. a new header from honda is ~$5400CAD ($3970USD) and i realize that the header maybe damaged, but the mechanic could use these parts to rebuild an engine for his own use and/or resell it
So the bearings were fried then. That's too bad. Did the dealer accept any responsibility for the loss of oil?
BTW, you should be asking about the "head" not the header. The "header" is a part of the exhaust system that bolts on to the head, collects the exhaust gasses from the cylinders and sends them on to the cat and mufflers. Unless of course they have some different terminology up there in the Great White North or something
. Good luck.

ron, thanks for the correction
the dealer didn't accept responsibility. i'm assuming you read my thread in the toronto forum. after some thought i'm going to get legal advice after all.
