how much would you pay for this car?
I wouldn't pay more than $20k. In SoCal in the last two weeks, an 05 silverstone with 13k miles sold for $21k by a private party and an 05 silverstone with 14k sold for $22k by Carmax. Carmax has an 05 blue with 24k for $22.5k. Non-Honda dealers are asking $22k for 05's.
Regarding the tax break, in some, but not all, sales tax on a new car is based on the difference between the new car's price and the value of a trade-in. Arizona, for example, does it that way, but California doesn't.
