Default How often do you guys change oil?

I got the engine oil changed 3 month ago and it's been ran 6000KM up to today. I asked the mechanic since last time he told me every other 7000KM. I use my baby for daily driver. and most of time I shift gear at 4000rpm

so just want to know how often do you guys change oil? and there is any difference if changing by 5000KM and 7000KM?

I'm turboed so my schedule might be slightly more aggressive, but I change every 2 months or ~2500miles. Which ever comes first (which is almost always 2 months)

I try to change it less than 3000 miles every time. I'm slipping though and I need to change it soon

Every 5,000 miles. Check your manual - it actually tells you what is recommended, and its over 5k mi.

I'm sorry but every two months/2,500 miles? That seems execcive to the point of being bad for the engine - not enough time for the detergents to burn off.

I change mine about every 4000 miles and my engine sees plenty of VTEC. I use Chevron Supreme 10W-30 and Honda PCX filters.

i think $30 is better than $3000+++

i change mine every 2900 miles with checking the oil level at 1500mile interval.

7500 miles. The Amsoil I use, and the rep told me people who use synthetic and change every 3000 miles are just wasting money. He told me most good synthetics are good for almost 25K. At 7500 miles, my oil is a bit darker than it was brand new. I have never seen black oil in my car. If you are really paranoid, just change the filter at 3000. In the summer, or when I beat on the car A LOT, I *might* change it at 5K. I do change the diff and tranny at every oil change though.
