Lightbulb How to put the top down?

Just curious:

When you take your top down (the soft top on the car, not the top on you), do you typically secure the latches to themselves before pulling the top back/putting the top down using the "ROOF" button? Or do you just let the latches hang there loosely?

EDIT: Hehe, looks like my question wasn't worded very well ...

Secure. I had to read your question 4 times to understand what you were asking.

Secure it. Never good to risk having anything dangling or bouncing about back there.

I leave it un-latched. That way, on the way back up, it won't crash into the window frame. I don't want to stop and restart the top just to undo the latches. I imagine more things can go wrong starting and stopping the top then leaving the latches un-latched, if that make any sense??!

I secure the latches.

If I don't, they will catch and hang up on the strikers when I retract the top.
