Default How quiet is the S2000?

Ok guys, i tried to do a search for "quiet" but that turned up a million unrelated searches.

But how quiet is the S2000 on the highway? Was there a ton of wind noise? I"m talking about a brand new 08 if it makes a difference. Would you say the S2000 is a nice highway cruiser over long distances?

thank!

Wind noise isn't too big of a deal, but the engine kind of drones just cruising on the freeway since its around 4-4.5k RPM at 75-80mph

This is a joke, right ?

The car is a blast, but wind noise and basic engine noise with the top up (stock) is too much to use a bluetooth headset, have a conversation without speaking loudly, etc.

Put a non-stock exhaust (HKS has an awesome sound) and long trips I'd think about putting in ear plugs. It is not quiet, and is borderline loud. As someone said, that is part of the deal and I personnally don't mind - it is a sports car not a luxo mobile

I had my mother in town and we took a trip up to the mountains for the day. She commented on it being slightly noisy but we were able to carry on conversations at highway+ speeds.

When in VTEC it's pretty damn loud and always makes people turn their heads (and probably say "what a dick") but that's about all

Oh, that's with DCSports header (cough cough) and a test pipe and Comptech exhaust

i set off all the car alarms on my street this morning when i left for work . Normally i only set off the one guy with glass break sensors. Now that guy is definately thinking "what a dick" everytime me, and my neighbor with the modified 'Teg pass and set off his alarm.

about 76 dB during highway cruise....but seriously I hear a lot more wind noise than engine noise....in fact I don't usually hear the engine at all over the wind noise. For those that wear ear plugs..how do you hear music?
