Bumping this old thread because I thought it was cool.
I was curious what the 562 at the end of my VIN meant, apparently that's the production number. #562 for 2008. Pretty cool.
Just for reference, my 98 civic dx hatch is #118,575 haha!!

The CR has a different digit in the "grade" position.
2 = CR
4 = S2000
