My NZ-new AP1 (RHD) has a 3 in the "grade" position.

RHD may account for the 3. More clues when the other RHD guys see this.

US/CDA VINs only have the 2 or 4 in that place (according to the Service Manual).

My Middle East , (European?) version is also grade 3.

Well, that kills the RHD guess.

Anyone have the non US/CDA Service Manual? As noted back in August the only "Vehicle Grade (Series)" designations in this market are 2 (CR) and 4 (S2000) and 2 doesn't appear until 2008.

My last six are 800011. Does this mean it was the 11th car produced???

Only if Honda produced cars is serial number (VIN) sequence which I've not seen confirmed. Certainly the 11th "VINed" (to make that a verb). Looks like the VIN is stamped on the firewall before paint and manufacturing will usually run cars thru paint in batches so (guess) VINs can easily get out of sequence.
