How to REALLY look stupid while Driving an S2000.
Right after I bought the car I put in the hook on the floor board for the driver's floor mat. After I finished the job, I put the top back up but the window on the passenger side would no longer close.
Went to the dealer and he took one look and switched the toggle above the driver side window buttons over to the other side.
Said I was not the first.
Why do they need a lock out anyway???

I had the same problem with the gas tank. It took me a good 20 minutes to find that darn thing. I felt pretty stupid because of that. I didn't want to call anyone so I stayed at the gas station during my lunch break trying to find it. When i finally did I was like wtf...Honda concealed that pretty good

Great thread, glad we can laugh about our moments
Mine was at the dealer, where I had taken my S2000 in to have the dome lights checked out because they wouldn't go off in the "open door" mode (I had to turn them off completely).
Turns out there is this fancy schmancy feature known as a "Map Light" button, and I had one of them turned on.

We bought our S2000 used from this guy. Asked if he had the owner's manual, he said, "no, I never got one ... but I'll order one for you guys from the dealer and send it to you." We were like "that's OK, we'll just get one ourselves."
Got home and started checking the car out from top to bottom ... and there it was, in the secret compartment. I guess he never knew it was there - the whole year he owned the car!

It took me 15 minutes to find it, and I wasn't even the one to find it. I was looking at the manual and everything. Finally, the girlfriend found it.
