I think you mean that it will turn the drive shaft. The engine is already spinning

OP, just don't ram the nose of the car into a curb - the front end is longer than you think.

Don't worry about what the owner thinks of your driving. He is just interested in selling the car.
He is not going to publish your photo with a big L on your forehead on his FB page.

i have never done this! when i first drove the s it felt so natural, but sometimes i accidentally downshift cause the pattern is tight, it would usually happen when i'm going 5 to 6, i downshift to 4 lol, i had a 5 speed before, so maybe that was why

and i felt embarrassed when i drove my friend's boosted jetta with a stage 3 clutch for the first time lol

Thumb up 1st to 2nd; Palm flat 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th; Thumb down 4th to 5th and 5th to 6th. That will really help initially with shift pattern.

do what i did... coming from learning on a manual cj5, sit there, clutch in, feel thru the gears once or twice, then just slowly play with clutch till you find the catch point and take it slow

Your throws will be a lot shorter and feel less mushy than your jeep gearbox. Also, your ears will tell you to change gears, but you have a lot more revs to play with =).
