How to ship rims + tires?

Default How to ship rims + tires?

I have the original Work box that will fit the rim only. Just in case I can

take a BIG cardboard box.. open it up so its 1 large sheet of cardboard.

lay the rim/tire on top an dtrace out the circle, just like in kindergarten.

cut 2 for each rim/tire, and use packing tape and wrap the hell out of it.

thats the best way. i used to work for UPS and have seen it all.

if u just simply put the rims/tires in a box, the box may eventually just fall apart and kiss your rims goodbye. if u just attach the shipping label, be prepared to hear from a pissed off receiver cuz his rims will be scratched up like a mother f-er

seen this way done many times, even from tire rack when my father bought some rims about 5 yrs ago from them

I was going to do this but UPS said they would not recommend it, especially since this is going to Canada from the US.

They recommended getting a double walled box and fit 2 rims in each box.

That's exactly what I do. Never heard a complaint...and I too have had mine shipped that way from Tire Rack and I've never had a problem.
