I've been getting PM's about whether to spray the inside or the outside of the sidemarker.

Spray the outside. Don't worry about it rubbing off, it's acrylic based and durable. Besides, if it ever scratches off in any way (which is unlikely) you can strip it clean with paint thinner and easily re-spray it.
