Can anyone tell me how I can tighten my driver's side airbag cover? Is it even possible?

Mine constantly rattles and creaks. It's driving me nuts. I know it's the airbag area because when I pull and hold any part of the black plastic airbag cover towards the driver's seat, the rattling stops. When I let go, the rattling comes back.

mine does it too. At least you can take yours to the dealer to have it fixed.

more than likely they will jump right on it, especially if you voice your concern for your safety

 

I'd like to avoid the dealer at all cost. Last time I was there, I asked them to fix it, along with a host of other things, and they said they couldn't replicate the issue. If I can't fix it myself, I guess I'll have to take a tech along for a ride.

 

just snap off the cover underneath where your legs go and you'll see 3 bolts holding the airbag.
