How in the world do people with a kit get to the jack points?
My GP sports kit just came in (thanks bulletproof!) and I test fitted it on and the question came to mind.. How in the world do you people jack your cars up? I have a J's front lip so jacking it from the front is out of the question and the side skirts wrap around underneath the car. Any suggestions on how to jack my car up with the kit on?
How would you change a tire? If you can get the little scissors jack* under there, use that as a starter to get enough clearance for a bigger jack. I have 3 jacks: tiny, sugar ray, and george. Each is used to take jacking literally to the next level.
I bought one on ebay for almost nothing - they are noit cheap for the S2000 at the dealer.

Back on topic, I bought a Craftsman low-pro aluminum speed jack for a GREAT price not too long ago. A quality jack is a worthwhile investment for any DIYer. I would first check out your local pawn shops.
If not, I know Sam's sells a 2.5-ton low-pro for under $75.

Ah, so you got a lift! Even better. I'd just put some heavy duty pads on the floor where your tires would be when you lift the car. They won't get in the way of the arms (I'm assuming this is a 2- or 4-post with swingarms?) and it'll give you the extra clearance. Some plywood would work just as well.
